Why Every Gluten-Free Kitchen Needs a Toaster Oven

Today, let's talk about toasters, or an American favorite, the toaster oven.

I get it, toaster ovens might not be as common globally, but here in the U.S., they're a kitchen staple. And if you're living the gluten-free life, you might want to think about adding one to your setup. Here's why:

  1. Toaster ovens are easy to clean. Your bread sits on a rack, completely untouched by the toaster itself. You can easily remove the rack and toss it in the dishwasher or a soapy sink for a quick clean. This means you can toast both regular and gluten-free bread on the same rack without worry (not at the same time of course).

  2. Gravity takes care of the crumbs. Any crumbs from gluten-containing bread fall to the bottom of the toaster oven, far away from your next batch of gluten-free goodness. So long as the rack is cleaned after toasting wheat bread, you can toast both regular and gluten-free bread in the same machine.

If you've been debating whether to invest in a separate toaster for your gluten-free bread, think again. A toaster oven might just be the perfect solution. It's versatile, convenient, and you only need one instead of two separate toasters. That's a win-win in my book!

So, there you have it, your toaster tip of the day. Stay tuned for more kitchen hacks coming your way soon!
