Commune Kitchen, an established cooking school in Singapore, is known for providing affordable hands-on culinary experiences. Chef Payal Thakurani who is the founder and culinary director of Commune Kitchen has been in the culinary field since 2012, and started the school in Shanghai, along with producing her line of gluten-free products for an online supermarket. Payal has since trained many chefs, home-cooks and helpers in gluten-free healthy home-cooking techniques.
Among the classes offered at Commune Kitchen include, traditional Sri Lankan, Indian, Thai, Indonesian, Middle-Eastern, Chinese, Dumplings, and many of them labelled gluten-free.
The kitchen and equipment are thoroughly cleansed before every gluten-free cooking class.
All courses are taught by professional chefs in a state-of-the-art kitchen in Downtown Singapore. Participants are split into small groups on individual stations with plenty of room for hands-on cooking and practicing. Apart from weekly cooking classes, Commune Kitchen also accept bookings for corporate team building sessions and private cooking sessions for up to 40 pax.
The space is also available for hourly rental for events, meetings, private dining, and private cooking classes.
