Communicating with your child’s teachers is extremely important. If you child is gluten-free or has other dietary restrictions it is even more crucial that your have a good dialogue with people who are with your child all day.

The beginning of the school year is a hectic time for teachers.

Teachers have a major task of learning about each student in the class at the beginning of each school year. Providing your child's teacher with written information about their gluten-free diet will allow the teacher the chance to comprehend this essential dietary requirement.

Once your child's teacher has had a chance to read the information, a face-to-face follow up meeting is suggested to clear up any questions or misconceptions.
