I am an American mom with a child who was diagnosed at age 4 with Celiac disease (2006). Followed by the diagnosis of a gluten intolerant husband a few years later. Just when I had gotten their gluten-free lives on autopilot, we relocated half-way around the world to Singapore.
Upon landing in our new country, I had to learn a whole new set of ingredients, brands and customs. I understand the overwhelming challenges and uncertainties that come with navigating the gluten-free journey, especially with life outside of your home country.
I understand what it is like to feed and travel with celiac family members.
In 2012, I set up Singapore Celiac & Gluten Intolerance Support Group, which is still actively running today under the simpler name of Gluten-Free Singapore.
Through the years, I have volunteered my gluten-free expertise helping the local gluten-free community in Singapore. I have consulted with F&B establishments and schools to help them understand the gluten-free people they serve.
I created this course to provide reliable gluten-free information to anyone in the world who needs it, but especially in Southeast Asia.
