Welcome to Celiac & Gluten Awareness Month!
Today I want to tackle a question I hear all the time: Are gluten-free and vegan diets the same thing? The short answer: nope, not even close!
Let's break it down.
A gluten-free diet means eliminating anything made from wheat, rye, or barley. This includes staples like bread, pasta, and baked goods.
On the other hand, a vegan diet includes grains – but it excludes all animal products, from meat and eggs to dairy and even honey. So, we're talking about two very distinct eating plans here.
Can you follow both gluten-free and vegan lifestyles simultaneously? Well, it's definitely challenging. Your food options may be more limited, but it is possible with careful planning and creativity.
If you're curious to learn more about what exactly a gluten-free diet is – what you can eat and what's off-limits – we've got you covered with our new mini-course. Just hit the button below to join What Is Gluten for free!
