Nourish Table Cafe: A Gluten-Free Gem in Singapore’s Botanic Gardens

GF DF Vegan

If you’re living with celiac disease or gluten intolerance in Singapore, or perhaps just visiting, you know how challenging it can be to find safe, gluten-free options. But we’ve got a fantastic spot to share with you – Nourish Table, a new cafe in the lush surroundings of Singapore’s Botanic Gardens. Located near the Botany Center, it’s the perfect place for a healthy, gluten-free meal with plenty of options for the whole family. Here’s everything you need to know for your visit!

How to Get to Nourish Table

Finding Nourish Table is easy. Located near the Tanglin Gate entrance of the Botanic Gardens, it’s best accessed via the Napier MRT station on the brown line. From Exit 1, head towards Tanglin Gate, and rather than entering through the gate, bear right and follow signs for the Botany Center. You’ll pass an information desk – simply go down the stairs right past it, and you’ll arrive at Nourish Table.

If you’re driving, the parking garage at the Botany Center, just off Cluny Road, is conveniently close. Alternatively, you could take the MRT to Botanic Gardens station (blue line), but keep in mind it’s about a 2.5-kilometer walk through the gardens.

⭐️ A tip for Google Maps users: Enter “Fusion Spoon” or “Botany Center” rather than “Nourish Table,” as the cafe might not yet be listed.

Nourish Table’s Gluten-Free Menu

Nourish Table offers an almost entirely gluten-free menu, perfect for anyone avoiding gluten. The only exceptions are their wheat flour tortilla wraps (they also have a gluten-free wrap option for a small additional fee) and focaccia bread (not made in house).

waffles

A highlight here is their gluten-free waffles – available in both sweet and savory versions – made safely in a dedicated gluten-free waffle iron.

The savory waffle comes topped with macadamia nut spread, a poached egg, and smoked salmon, while the sweet waffle is served with fresh fruit and a choice of coconut yogurt or a chocolate drizzle. Each option is delicious, filling, and, most importantly, safe for those with gluten sensitivities.

Other Menu Favorites

Beyond waffles, Nourish Table has a great selection of gluten-free dishes. We loved the lentil dhal, chicken salad bowl, açai bowl, and papaya-mango salad. And if you’re a dessert lover, don’t miss out on the gluten-free cakes and goodies in the display case. Our favorites include the raspberry cake, key lime pie, and pandan cake – all gluten-free and all delicious!

A Family-Friendly Dining Spot

One of the best features of Nourish Table is its family-friendly setup. It’s part of the Fusion Spoon restaurant, so you can order drinks and meals from either the Nourish Table counter or the Fusion Spoon kiosk. The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and for those with little ones, there are high chairs available along with a small playground just outside.

Plus, Nourish Table is perfect for groups with mixed dietary needs. Those who need gluten-free meals can order from Nourish Table, while others can enjoy the Fusion Spoon menu. With options that are vegetarian and vegan-friendly, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Note for those with nut allergies: This cafe might not be suitable due to the use of nuts in various dishes.

About the Chef

Heading up the kitchen at Nourish Table is Boyang, who previously worked at the Living Cafe and is experienced in gluten-free and dairy-free cooking.

Friendly on the Budget

Nourish Table’s prices are significantly more affordable than many other cafes in Singapore, making it a wonderful option for a high-quality meal at a reasonable price. And during their soft opening, be sure to mention that you’re part of the Gluten-Free Singapore Support group – you’ll enjoy a 10% discount on your bill!
